Laurens has been working as a freelance sculptor, prop maker, and project manager in the film & TV industry for over 20 years.

He graduated in fine art sculpture in the mid 90’s from UWE Bristol, and began making props for stop frame animation feature films and commercials for Aardman Animations.

His work has included fabricating sets, props and models for a string of live action feature films, music promos and retail displays, as well as the design and delivery of museum exhibitions, and the occasional private commission.

After working as a senior sculptor on Ridley Scott’s feature 'Exodus Gods & Kings’, Laurens founded Pinewood Creative, an in-house prop making and set building department of the world famous Pinewood Studios, remaining the creative director for three years.

Tony started building sets and making models for photographers working on advertising campaigns back in the 1990s, before the days of CGI or green screen, when mobile phones were the size of bricks!

Since then he has spent over 25 years working in the film, television and advertising industries making models and props, building sets and art directing. He has also designed and built many one-off installations, retail displays, exhibition stands, decorative porticos and garden studios.

In 2002, with his wife Holly, he renovated a house in Mysore, India and ran it for a year as a Guest House and Cafe while studying Astanga Vinyasa Yoga. Since then he has been teaching yoga in his spare time.
